“Being acquainted with someone is easy. But knowing them deeply takes time”
Today is my first day is my new school. I really don’t know anybody! The excitement of the start of my freshmen year in college made me hope a lot from my new classmates. I expected that despite the fact all of us are new in the school, there will be some outgoing students that will make the first step to get to know others. But silence ruled over the class.
Before our first professor arrived, a girl sat beside me. And just like any other stories, we became first day buddies. She is beautiful and older that me. But despite our differences, she was comfortable to be with. As time pass by, I got to know her little by little. She was not an open book that I could easily read just like the others. The experiences that she had were like an excerpt from one of the dramas that we would watch on a Sunday evening. The way she told her story was brief and understandable. But I couldn’t help myself to be a bit curious. There is a lot to every story that comes from her mouth; incidents, point of views and secrets.
A day has passed yet I’m still left with no answers. But one thing is for sure, TIME is the answer. As they say, “don’t push yourself on others, let them open up to you.” So if you want to know someone, let them be. Only they can know when they are ready to open up. You just have to wait and be patient.
